Set in pre-war France during the late 1930s, four young and adventurous women attend a cocktail party in the French countryside.
Rose, Madeline, Elise, and Juliette sweep up the drive of the Maison Principale in flowing gowns, all youth and giddy possibility. Inside, a lively gathering glows against the French countryside, and the girls slip in intending to be far more than fun.
Shot in luminous black and white, On the Eve of Destruction braids glamour, ambition, and dread as one radiant evening unfolds against the gathering dark of history.
